Aaaaaannnd we’re catching up again…
Day 22 – I’m thankful for prayer meetings at our church. Tuesday evenings are our band rehearsal night, but we start the evening out praying together. Anyone who wants to comes and joins in prayer. It’s a really powerful time together.
Day 23 – I’m thankful my in-laws kept my kids for the last two nights so I could have a little time to breathe and to prepare for our Thanksgiving gathering at the lake.
Day 24 – I’m thankful we had such a nice Thanksgiving gathering. We had family, extended family, extended family members of extended family members, and friends. It was a lot of people, but was a lot of fun! And here’s a cute little tidbit — while we were waiting on someone to get back to the cabin, an aunt suggested people telling what they were thankful for. After she was done withe hers, Sadie said “I’m thankful for lollipops and my Mommy!” Awwwwwwwww!!!
Day 25 – I’m thankful for a day to relax after such a big day yesterday!
Day 26 – I’m thankful for the wisdom of my father-in-law, who is also my pastor, to speak truth to me. Someone said some things to me the other day that really hurt. He brought the whole thing into such a Godly perspective that really helped me move past the hurt.
Day 27 – I’m thankful for Sunday afternoon naps! We almost always take a nap on Sunday afternoons. Oh, gonna sneak another one in for today too — I’m so thankful for the family who decorated our church so beautifully for the Advent/Christmas season. This particular family has been so faithful and diligent in their work for ChristChurch, and most of all, for His glory — it’s inspiring!
